Aren't we all just a little crazy?
Its okay as long as I don't talk back to the voices right?
11th-May-2009 10:46 am - The New Star Trek Movie
Was amazing. Seriously. It was the best movie I have seen this year and was probably the best movie I saw all last year too. It is the first movie in a long time that I seriously want to go back to see in the theaters. Multiple times. It was GREAT!!

If you like Star Trek or just like Sci Fi stuff, go see this movie. You will not be disappointed. And if you are, well...I'm sure they make drugs for that. ;-)

I think I posted about my other blog before. http://throughanemeraldeye.blogspot.com/
I'm trying to get more people to read it, but am unsure of how to get more people to read it. How does one attract more readers on a blog?

I'm trying to keep the blog more "professional" too, in case it is ever pulled up by any potential employers. And by professional I mean trying to keep too many personal references out of it and try to keep from talking about my feelings too much.

I bring this all up in relation to something that has come to me in the past few days. I"ve been struggling now for a while with the question of "What do I want to do with my life?" For the longest time my goal was simply to get the frak out of Alabama. And to get a boyfriend. And now I have done both, which leads me back to the question of "What do I want to do with my life?".

It isn't an easy question to answer. I've been searching my soul for a while now. The answer I've found: I want to be a writer. I've always had the notion of being an author. I was never serious about it, and wouldn't really say I dreamt of doing it. It was more of a thought, a thought I never put any weight behind. Now though...now I want it. I want it a lot.

Not only would writing be fun and allow my imagination to really bloom, but I could also tie it into my spirituality, which would just be awesome. All in all, I think it is a good dream to have.

Which brings me back to the blog, because in an effort to work towards my dream of being a writer, I need to write and I need people to read what I write. I need to get my name out there. So I want my blog to get out there more, I want to write here more, and I want to start researching how one breaks into the industry.

Wish me luck!

8th-Sep-2008 02:57 pm - Cell Phone Woes
They are so much woes, as I am just having a hard time making up my mind.

My contract with Verizon comes up in November and they are letting me know that I am eligible to get a discounted new cell phone and renew my contract.

The only problem is...I want an iPhone. Badly. I didn't so much before I got to use one, but I've played around with one in the store and just think they are the niftyest things since sliced bread. So now I want one. Badly.

However, there are a couple of things holding me back. One, I don't know that I want to switch to AT&T from Verizon. I've heard AT&T is good, but I've used Verizon for years and have not had any problems with them. The only reason I would switch to AT&T is for an iPhone.

The other thing is price. With Verizon's deal, I could basically get an LG enV2 for free. The iPhone will cost me 200 bucks, plus my monthly cost would go up by at least 15 bucks. (I am not sure of the prices for the iPhone, that is just what I've read). That isn't as expensive as I had thought, but is still more than free.

I have a lot of things I"m going to be spending money on for a while, including trips and Xmas and video games and stuphs. So I could use the money I would save. BUT...I really want an iPhone. And I think it would be super useful.

I'm going to go by an AT&T store this week to talk to a salesperson and get some pricing ideas from them. And that will probably decide me.

Does anyone have any opinions or words of wisdom though?

Your result for Tarot Card Guide Test...

And HE said “Let there be Light, and there was Light”

The Magician is the male power of creation, creation by willpower and desire. In that ancient sense, it is the ability to make things just-so by speaking them aloud. One usually interprets this card as telling them that they will be given a vision, an idea, a magical, mental image of whatever it is they most want: the solution to a problem, an ambitious career, a love life, a job.

If your guide is the magician you are, or are currently finding yourself eloquent and charismatic at this time. Both verbally and in writing, the magician is clever, witty, inventive and persuasive. People listen and agree with him. He also has an interest in science. He might be, in fact, a doctor or scientist or inventor.

The Magician is the communicator of life. What he says comes into being. He creates or brings to “light” new meanings in things we have taken for granted. He may be all knowing and at one with the universe, but he hardly ever shares the “why” or the “how.” Simply he states “There is.”

The Magician represents the gift of tongues. He is a smooth talker and a salesman. He is clever with slight of hand, so be wary for he may be a thief. While his words may be golden one must listen to the Magician with a sense of wariness, for he may only be telling you what he thinks you want to hear.
